Popular Towns We Serve in Camden County
Start at the Delaware River and head east, and Camden County's homes show how people got to work. Railroad stops in the 1800s gave rise to boroughs like Collingswood and Merchantville. Later, a streetcar line along Haddon Avenue filled Collingswood with Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial, Foursquare and bungalow homes, most built from 1910 to 1930. The bridge to Philadelphia opened in 1926 and brought car commuters. After World War II, farm fields farther out became split-levels and colonials. The PATCO line, running since 1969, still ties many of these towns to the city.
Today the county's 36 towns hold all of it. Older boroughs mean plaster walls, wood porches and trim with many layers of old paint. Postwar suburbs mean painted siding, wide garage doors and kitchens ready for a change. Newer communities farther south add townhomes with association rules. We bring interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting and wallpaper removal to each of them, and we match our prep to the age of the house.
Painting Needs Across Camden County
Streetcar era homes in the older boroughs
Foursquares, bungalows and Dutch Colonials from the early 1900s carry a lot of wood: porch posts, rafter tails, gambrel trim and wide sills. Old paint builds up and starts to crack. We hand scrape and sand to a sound edge, spot prime bare wood and brush the details. Inside, these houses often have plaster that needs careful patching before any color goes on.
Postwar siding that has gone chalky
Many homes built after the war wear aluminum or older painted siding. Over time it fades and leaves a powder on your hand. Paint will not grip that powder. We wash it off, prime any bare metal and finish with a quality exterior acrylic. Shutters, front doors and garage doors are an easy way to add a new accent color at the same time.
Wallpaper and paneling from past decades
Houses that have changed owners a few times often hide wallpaper under paint or wood paneling in a den. We remove old paper, wash off the paste and seal the wall. Paneling gets a bonding primer so paint sticks. Where removal pulls the wall surface or uncovers dents, we do drywall repair so the room ends up smooth.
Garages and basements in the suburbs
Attached garages and finished basements are common across the county's suburbs. Bare concrete floors stain, dust and are hard to keep clean. We offer epoxy floor coating for garage floors, plus garage door painting to match the house. Inside, we repaint basement walls and trim with washable finishes that stand up to everyday use.

Camden County Painting Questions
Which parts of Camden County do you work in?
We paint homes across Camden County, including Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Cherry Hill, Voorhees and Sicklerville, which take in older boroughs, larger suburbs and newer communities to the south. Every house gets a free walkthrough first. That lets us see the surfaces, talk about colors and give you a clear written plan before any work starts.
Does an older home need different prep than a newer one?
Usually, yes. Older homes tend to have plaster walls, wood siding and many coats of old paint, so they need more scraping, sanding and priming. Newer homes often have drywall and thin builder paint that needs patching and a better finish coat. We plan the prep around what your house is made of, not a one size approach.
Can you paint over old wallpaper?
We do not recommend it. Paint over paper can bubble, and the seams often show through. We remove the paper, clean off the leftover paste, and seal the wall with a primer made for that job. Then we fix any damage and paint. It takes a bit longer, but the walls look better and the paint lasts.
Can we stay in the house while you paint inside?
Yes. Most families stay home while we work. We paint one area at a time, cover floors and furniture, and keep walkways clear. At the end of each day we clean up so the house is livable that night. If you work from home, tell us which rooms you need and we will plan around them.
Do I need permission to change my exterior color?
That depends on your town and neighborhood. Some historic areas and many associations have rules about exterior changes, and some control colors. Check with your borough or homeowner association before you choose. Once you know what is allowed, we will help you pick a scheme and match it exactly.
